peccato che in italia se dici che “sei un morto di fame” non ci fai una bella figura!!!

xxCpxxDr0n3  on August 16th, 2010

too bad he said he was in france and he went to italy, it means that he went to the north of italy, but he uses names and ways of behaving typical of the south.
he could have invented something else.

HalliFlipCam  on August 16th, 2010

no shit, comics are allowed to fabricate. I doubt they actually killed a skinny guy at the restaurant, too. Stop being pretentious.

DarthSutekh  on August 17th, 2010

@xxCpxxDr0n3 He may not have made it up, right along the border, from about Pinerolo south to Busca, there are a bunch of southern Italian families, they mostly seem to run southern italian restraunts to make tourists happy as southern italian style food is what a lot of tourists think of as ‘Italian Cuisine’. Either that or he just can’t pull off a northern italy accent and figures his american audience won’t know the difference.

xxCpxxDr0n3  on August 17th, 2010

@DarthSutekh that’s true mate, but you can’t imagine how sad it is when we hear that everything people think about italy is pizza pasta spaghetti and mafia, since the first three are only neapolitan and mafia is a sicilian “invention”. same thing with the way to bahave, like speaking loudly, touching often, speaking english like da da da. that’s not true, at least here.
but I appreciate there’s someone that knows there’s a difference ;)

@xxCpxxDr0n3 I travel quite a bit and am a bit of a ‘I must try this!!’ food geek. So I went to the area while (somewhat ironically) on a day trip from Nice, looking for a place that served Cardi alla Bagna Cauda or Fonduta and kept getting sent to fake ‘Mom&Pop’ transplanted restaurants that had me going ‘When did I get to Potenza?”

JeromeW  on August 18th, 2010

@DarthSutekh Rionero in Vultura in Potenza? Great place. Great food. Great wine. Natural sparkling water.
